Hometown Holiday, December 13

Even Santa makes time forthis annual event. Don your complimentary elf hat to take photos with the man himself (free!), follow along the fire truck parade, watch the lighting of the village Christmas tree and enjoy the free concert that follows. Village Center.

Solid Gold Christmas, December 18

Holidays at Glenmont, Through January 4 

An authentic 19th century Christmas is just a short drive away atThomas Edison National Historical Park. See the family’s 1880 Victorian estate, hear stories of their Christmas traditions and visit Edison’s intriguing invention factory. 211 Main St., West Orange.
