Tis’ the Season in South Orange
It’s fun to get in the Holiday spirit no matter what your age is! South Orange, and its surrounding towns, offer plenty of activities during the month of December.
December 12th and 13th will be the last weekend for “Pop n Shop” located at 65 South Orange Avenue. Pick up some baked goods, handcrafted gifts and art. After that you can head over to the Hometown Holiday event which also is being held on Saturday, December 12th at the South Orange Village Center They’ll have free photos with Santa from 1:30-4:30pm and the annual tree lighting at 5:15pm with live music .
The Essex County Turtle Back Zoo in West Orange, which is amongst the most elite zoos in the country, will be hosting their annual Holiday Lights Spectacular until December 27th, 2015. Take a winter stroll through the Zoo under the illuminating lights of over 50 winter and animal characters.
SOPAC also has a few Holiday shows. “Let it sing: Broadway comes home for the Holidays” is a performance everyone can enjoy! It will include songs from your favorite musicals such as Elf, West Side Story, Rent and Annie.
