St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, located at 721 Rahway Ave, Union which is 13 minutes from your Third and Valley apartment, will hold their 42nd annual Greek festival on Thursday, Sept. 5 through Sunday, Sept. 8, which has an admission fee of $2 per person.

A portion of the admission fee will be donated to the Union Medical Unit, while proceeds from other parts of the festival will benefit St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church as this is their biggest fundraiser of the year. Visitors will be able to find authentic Greek food prepared on the premises, a pastry shop, a bar area, vendors, rides and games and live music.

St. Stephen the Protomartyr Antiochian Orthodox Church, located at 609 Lane Ave., South Plainfield which is about 30 minutes from your Third and Valley apartment, will hold their 11th annual festival on Friday, Sept. 6 through Sunday, Sept. 8 with a free entrance fee.

The church’s festival also includes a vintage car show, which has been a part of the festival for four years. This year, festival organizers plan to expand the car show, bringing in about 25-30 vintage cars.
